Warpcast pays out rewards each week to the top creators on the network.
The rewards are paid out in USDC every Tuesday at 9am PT to your primary wallet. You can check your position in the creator leaderboard using the Rewards Miniapp.
User get points for the top level casts during the week. The algo works roughly like this:
Score top casts based on engagement. Your best top-level casts are scored by the number of likes, replies and recasts that they get. The cast limit, which is currently 50 and may change often, prevents people gaming by generating hundreds of casts each day and get one or two friends to like it.
Adjust score based on number of followers. Your score is divided by cube root of active followers (people online in the last week). This avoids penalizing new users as well as old users who have a lot of followers who may no longer be using the app.
Adjust score based on number of engagers. We give you more points for getting engagement from a broader audience across your casts. If you have two casts which each have a like, you’ll get significantly more points if the likes came from different people than if they were the same person.
Adjust score by account quality. We adjust engagement points based on the quality of the engaging account. We look at a long list of factors to prevent gaming of the algorithm including engagement with spam, coordination with other accounts, account age and more.
If you’re getting engagement, but your score isn’t increasing:
Your score comes from your best 50 casts. If you’ve made more than 50 casts, your engagement won’t increase unless your new casts get enough engagement to do better than your old casts.
Your engagement is coming from accounts that are new, tend to engage with spammy accounts, tend to like content that is uninteresting to most people or have previously coordinated to boost other accounts inauthentically.
Your account hasn’t completed enough verifications to quality for the leaderboard.
