We are permanently transferring control of fees collected in clanker tokens back to creators. Creators can claim or burn those fees, giving their communities more flexibility to grow. This change better aligns Clanker with its most successful projects.
This change will go live on November 13, 2025. If you are a Clanker creator, please read the FAQ carefully.
Clanker v3.1 and earlier charged up to 0.6% in fees, paid in both WETH and the project’s token. Clanker v4 charges 0.2%, paid only in WETH. This update reduces differences between Clanker versions, making fees fairer for the early projects that helped Clanker grow.
Finally, this won’t affect $CLANKER buys, which have been funded solely with WETH fees.
How do I know if this affects my clanker token?
Visit your clanker token’s clanker.world page and look for the label next to the contract address. If you are v3.1 or earlier, this change is relevant to you.
BNKR is a v1 clanker token.
Do I need to do anything?
If your fee admin is an EOA wallet that you control, no action is needed.
If you changed your fee admin to a smart contract, you may need to make changes. The fee admin must be able to call certain new methods on the upgraded fee contract to claim the fees. If you do not update your contract to support this, the fees will be effectively burned forever.

How do I collect my fees?
On Thursday November 14, 2025, we’ll have a page on clanker.world where you can go and claim or burn your fees using the fee admin for your clanker.
Does this apply to previously collected fees?
Any clanker tokens (e.g. BANKR) that are currently held in Fee Locker 1 or Fee Locker 2 can be claimed or burned by creators.
